Stihl MS044 Carb Tuning

Hello Everybody,

I recently rebuilt a Stihl 044 chainsaw. I replaced the carburetor because the original one had been poorly rebuilt and the screw holes were stripped out. Anyways, I'm not very good at tuning chainsaw carburetors, and I was wandering If I could have some input on where to start? It starts up right now, idles a a little high though. When I rev it up is seems pretty high, and when I release the throttle it dies out. I'm thinking I should just start fresh over? Anything you guys can offer will help.
