I just came in from sawing my first 2 logs, ever...and with my 100 year old mill pulled by my '49 H(which, by the way did an excellent job!)  I actually cut down a pine tree from the woods behind the house and cut a couple of 8' sections out to try.   8)

There's a fine line between turning firewood into beautiful things and beautiful things into firewood.

Yeh...once you get sawdust in your veins you are addicted for life ;D

It's  8) 8) 8) that you are bringing old iron back into service....I reckon you are one, amongst a (very) few, who can boast a working 100 year old sawmill. Cool indeed.

I've just made an observation on my own tack. It seems that I have six machines in everyday use, that are over 30 year old.
