Recently purchased a LM1 sawmill from widow, only to find they went out of business.  Does anyone have information of blade tension or source to get a copy of operators manual?

I run an LM2 with .042 x 1.25 bands and the unit came with instructions to run 6000psi. Due to my balmy northern location (Saskatchewan) I've lowered it to 5000psi and it has worked well. Not sure what blades you run on the LM1 but that is the best info I can give.

I appreciate the reply, but the LM1 does not have hydraulics.  I will need to use a torque wrench.  I am using

if your blade is vibrating while running, tighten it up till it runs smooth. That is my system.

Tighten your blade to 40lbs on your tourqe wrench . That's what the spcecs call for

I have the LM4   I tighten it up to 6000 as well.   The LM1 runs at about 4500.  My sugestion to you is make it reasonably tight and try it.  Then tighten it a little more and so on until it cuts they way you desire in any given spiecies.
"Sneak up on it" so to speak.
You will know when it's right.
