Started in on this Pine job. The woods is ok but the skid road is a mess. Freeze up can't come soon enough.

Like to see those pics of moving wood in the winter time on some snow.. and since I was a very small boy, I have been fascinated by tractor tire tracks in the snow... and still am.   :)

how long is the body on the f550? 84" cab to axle? looks like a longer wheelbase than my 60"ca

Corley5

The bed is 10' and there's not quite 2' between it and the cab.  I've never measured the cab to axle length  :)

mine is 60" ca with a 8ft m g combo sander body. the hoist is in the front so its a pretty tight fit. next time i would like a longer wheelbase. 12" longer would be good but ford dosent offer it

Your customers buy firewood at this time of the year ?       Nice pics !
Make sure you know how to fall properly when you fall and as to not hurt anyone around you.
Also remember, it's not the fall what hurts, its the sudden stop. !!

That load was for me  ;) ;D  I've got about 40 cords on order right now.  It's all OWB wood.  I don't even attempt seasoned wood ;D

Nice looking timber jacks!  Always thought that processing fire wood on the job was a good way to save a lot on trucking. Nice job! Work safe!
