I'm helping out an old retired neighbor guy.  He has a Husqvarna 240 that runs poorly.  I think it may just need a carb adjustment.  I ordered the special splined tool to fit the adjustment screw.  Can someone please tell me the initial/starting point adjustments for this saw (CCW turn to open H & L jets from closed position) ?  If carb adjustment won't do it, will have to open up carb and look it over.  Thanks a bunch.

I find one full turn on each will usually get you started. I seem to end up at 3/4 turn for high and 1 and 1/4 turn for low. Seems to hold true for several different carbs I have played with. I am at 530 feet above sea level so not sure how much it changes depending on your elevation? Mountain.
