Title: Raise and lower sawhead chain size?
Post by: Kwill on April 08, 2018, 09:35:11 PM
I'm ordering sprockets and chain for my acme thread raise and lower on my sawhead. Trying to figure out if #40 chain is big enough or if I should to #50? I currently have a cable system and don't like it.

#40 sounds plenty heavy to run your screws.....My WM only has a double #35 chain to lift the head and that carries all the weight.
