Jonsered 510 SP Gas/oil mixture

Can someone tell me what gas/oil ratio to use for the Jonsered 510 SP.  Got the saw from an in-law but no manual. 

Got a Stihl MS 270 and love it but the 510 is lighter and want to try for brushing.

I might catch some flak but I would suggest 50:1, same as your Stihl.

Thanks for the advice. It's much easier to have only one gas mixture around. I use Stihl oil so it should be good stuff.

Manufacturer recommends 40:1.

Oil has improved since that saw was built. They did recommend 40:1 for the oil available at that time. I am running 50:1 in my Husky 35 and other than the noise, no problems at all.

I believe you are right.

My Jreds 621 from 1970 has been run on 50:1 Alky fuel with synth oil for years, with no apparent ill effect - it "calls for" 25:1...... :)

I had a 520 SP for 23 years (all most the same saw) just sold it on ebay last fall it would run circles around a MS 270
