I've seen Stihl Rapid Micro X ripping chain mentioned on Stihl boxes and in their German catalog, but have never actually seen what it looks like.  Has anyone seen or used Stihls ripping chain?  If so how would you rate it compared to the Granberg type or the Oregon type?

I'm also wondering why Stihl didn't use their Rapid Super as a base for their ripping chain instead of the Rapid Micro?

Same question for the Picco Micro X ripping chain.

When we had the procut mill we were using sthil full skip rapid super 3/8 ripping chain . You may have to ask your dealer to order it for you cost is a little less than reglar chain . We also tried semi skip rapid super that work well.Either chain will cut faster than reglar chain.

The only problem I had with RS was the top plate angle which leaves a rougher finish but it cuts well.

I refile all of my ripping chains to a 5 degree angle the cut is a little rougher but I think it cuts faster than 0 degree. This chain comes out of the box with a 15 degree angle.
