What's everyone's thoughts on the 753GL bunchers John Deere made.

Not that easy to work on, oh and they love fuel, as do all Deere's :o

Although I am not familiar with the leveling series of these bunchers the 753 was a very popular machine and many were made.  They were modelled on the 608 Timberjack carriers that were also a reliable machine in their day.  There are still many 700 series carriers still working in the bush around here.

That model could be nearing 20 years old.

Depends what, how and where you are cutting.

Timbcos from that era had a bit more power, for a similar weight machine,  tilt system was different.(Could do a stumpy and drop the disc saw off and put on a ryans dangle head, waratah or intermittent fixed high back bar saw etc depending on your timber and machine size/ power)

Could put machine on a T-winch to help it around the slopes
