trouble uploading photos

I have a picture I am trying to upload to my gallery.  First it said that my file size exceeded the limits.  Then, I remember I had to go into the IAT optimizer and resize to the KB limit.  I did that and also cropped out all the extraneous stuff.  It now says I am exceeping my pixel limit and I don't know how to fix that.  Any help available?

the pixel limit is the width and length of the picture.  You are allowed 400 pixels wide and 400 pixels long.

When optimizing, it is best to first crop, then make the picture this size, then do the optimizing.   You get your biggest and best image that way.  Xat has a cropping tool and a sizing tool and an optimization tool.
