One of my best friends is getting married this spring and ask me to be his best man. On the weekend he got picked for a contest "Win your wedding". The winner is picked online with the most votes. I told him I would help out by posting it in the FF.

On several occasions I have tried to vote but it goes directly to a page that says I already voted. Did a little research and accessed the site by doing a search. So who are we voting for again? :D

I think it is based on the IP Address. I tried today and it said to try tomorrow. I had voted 2 days ago. I did an " IPCONFIG -renew " but it didn't help. Gave me a new local IP but didn't request a new network IP from my ISP. I think this may work if you are on dialup.
Next I reset my DSL modem and was able to vote.
Did another and was able to vote again.

Looks like thats just what they were doing. Got my vote in. Could be the number one team started doing what we are now doing well before us. In that case it might be a slow catch up. But its a whole new game if they get to when they start the next round so maybe we can make the difference there.

Following the rules wouldn't have been fair as I could only vote once the first four days, only after I reset my DSL Router and got a new IP could I vote the second time.
Probably the full member section would have been secure enough. Yeah we broke the rules as did others I'm sure. ;)
We didnt break any rules. In this household there is 3 people that want to vote on 3 computers, but we are only allowed one vote. The problem they are talking about isnt with us. We were not stressing the server. I bet one of the other contestants was trying something a bit more underhanded. The system was not going down because 3 or 4 of us every hour were trying to vote. The problem lies elsewhere.
I know the photo of the former #1's got removed and there used to be 50 contestants, now 49.

I can barley pick up that radio station in my area. It's a very week signal and mostly fades out. I used to like CFNB radio, which was the precursor to that station I think.

Worked out you have to generate a whole 'nuther key for each vote. I was generating one key then sending it from lots of email addy's but alas, I don't think that works. So now I go right back to the 'choose couple from the mob' page and start afresh for each vote. I think that's safest.
When I started voting they were at 7th, now they're at 5th, in the space of 15 minutes... No idea what's going on there, but still, 5th is better than 7th. But we need to get it RAISED!!! :-\
