skidding tongs
« on: January 04, 2006, 12:20:13 AM »
Looking for a set of skidding tongs.  Would prefer west coast so shipping doesn't cost me a fortune.,but will consider all.  Also, still looking an old west coast style faller's axe.

Bailey's is a sponsor and has the tongs.  Check on the left and click on bailey's as they are on the left coast.

I sent Sam Bailey from Baileys an email a week or so ago trying to get him to come to the pig roast. He checked his scheduale and it turned out there was a festival he had been commited to attend.  But guess what? He sent a door prize for the pig roast that had to come by truck freight.  Its a brand new 4 ton electric wood splitter.  Now I gotta say that Bailey's is looking after the Forestry Forum!

You gotta like that!. very nice when a sponsor donates items. I had already made plans for the pig roast week-end, I will try to leave thsat week-endopen next year. It would be nice to axtually meet some of the FF members.
I just bought some new chain and bar from them after hearing about them being a sponsor here. What I really likes was the service was top notch and there was no rush in buying the items. The gentleman made sure it was what I needed.

How about one of you guys doing a demo with the woodsplitter?  I was thinking about getting the electric to make kindling out of 8-12" rounds for my fireplace and to sell to customers without running a big noisy splitter.

Ya gotta love Bailey's  8) 8) 8) 8) 8)  I do most of my shopping there.  Much cheaper to buy from them especially in quantity than it is to purchase locally.

What is the code (SKU #) number for the elect. splitter in Bailey's?  I tried to find it, but it wouldn't come up in the on-line catalog. Maybe a new addition.
Will look to see it run on the web cam this weekend if possible.
Thanks to Bailey's
