woodcarver to make me some things
« on: July 28, 2006, 09:58:54 AM »
I do a little woodworking, but cannot carve to save my life. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I am going to make a couple projects that I need fish carved for. They will be used as handles on a lid. They need to be around 7"-8" long. The fish needs to arch like it is jumping out of the water. The head and tail have to be back on the same plane so I can attach it in 2 places to the lid. The arch under the fish has to be big enough to work as a handle. Anyone ? Any better ideas? It's a paying job and I will supply the wood if I can see some pictures of your other work. I need a couple to start, but may need several if this idea flies.

Thanks

Hello,
I am interested but don't know how to post pics. I have carved several fish, last year I got second place in a competition for a six foot tall catfish. Have done smaller stuff, like 10" rainbow trout also. Can e-mail some pics if you want, don't have many pics of fish thou. I can carve anything you want.

Sure, e-mail me some pictures. We can talk. 2nd place eh?, jeez for 6' that was quite an undertaking. I am looking for something just a little smaller.

Click my name here and send me a message and maybe we can work something out.
