Howdy all,  I think/ hope I'm in the right place. I'm building a barn, 34' by 60'.  On a 4:12 slope, what lengths do I need to cut my rafters? I come up with 18'5". I'd like to confirm with ya'll. The width being 34'.   Thanks in advance. Regular Guy

Hm, my math may be a but rusty, but I come up with 17' 11" plus whatever overhang you want less 1/2 your ridge beam width (if any).  [((34/2)/12*4)^2+(34/2)^2]^(1/2)

East Mo., Calif. has beautiful country but it's a police state. Hope your doin good up there.  LeeB, I know the feeling, I'm a proud Virginian living in the Ozarks.  "American by birth, Southern by the Grace of God"......there's good people all over.  Thanks again fellas and God Bless.  Regular Guy
