good job. now fix the hoses that are hanging off the stick boom. some day they will get caught on something

treefarmer87

I need to fix them. the hose brackets that hold the hose arent the greatest. i need to weld something on the boom to hold them.

Take a used skidder inner tube and cut it cross ways, makes good bungee cord to strap hoses up.

mad murdock

Turbosawmill M6 (now M8) Warrior Ultra liteweight, Granberg Alaskan III, lots of saws-gas powered and human powered :D

Kemper

Ive been wanting one real bad. Care telling what you paid for it & what brand? I would like to get a CSI 4400.

treefarmer87

your right mad murdock, and its fun 8) kemper- it a fec (forest equip. company) i think they are out if business now. it is a 1000 model with a 36'' bar, 404 pitch 0.63 harvester chain. i paid $900 for it and it came with 5 new bars. the 4400 is a good saw, i like the lo-pro 4200, they came out with a swing-out trailer mount saw, just like the ones timberjack loaders had, its pretty neat.

I saw the trailer mounted 4200, those are nice. Sounds like you got a great deal, keep up the good work.

treefarmer87

if i was getting a CSI i would get a 4200, the new ones are really expensive. you can get a good CTR 42 for $1000-$4000, and they are a good saw. i believe i did get a good deal, they are rare though. i have only seen 3 including mine. im going to buy a new chain tomm. or the next day. it hadnt been used in 5-10 yrs since i bought it, and it does fine.

stamper

10-4 on fastening up those hoses....I have a similar loader on a 10 wheeler  the hose brackets broke on the side of the boom away from the operater.  While making a pick in front of the truck and swinging along the right side the hoses snagged the out rigger levers located on the mast under the operaters area.  as soon as the outriggers went up  the truck pitched violently to the right  {full grab of logs 90 degrees to the truck}   operater thrown to the ground, some truck damage
If you don't run, you rust.
