Title: central bpoiler breaker popping?
Post by: Logging logginglogging on September 11, 2017, 09:53:20 AM
Has anyone had the little rocker switch / breaker inside the unit where you plug in the circulators pop immediately every time you switch it on.

1. Boiler was running great
2. checked and the power was off (so i thought)
3. circular was running fine so i know i have power to the boiler.
4. every time i switch it on the panel begins to light up and then pop the breaker pops.

do these lil breakers just go bad some times? I have a bran new boiler, but i know these breaker switches have been used on other previous models.

After speaking to some people in the know, I found this is typically an indication of a solenoid problem.

I had same problem with fuse protection on E-2300.
unplug all the solenoids, then plug them in one at time until you find the bad one.

If you unplug the solo and it still happens there's a little transformer that ouputs 24vac that can cause this if it goes bad. You can find them at any hardware store.  Mine was located in the rear air box.
