For anyone that has a Shaver OWB with the open pipe on the side you know why I did this. For those who don't, I'll try to explain. To keep a Shaver full of water you have to open the water valve daily and let it run until water pours out of an open 1/2" pipe on the side. If the water is on the cold side, as it heats up and expands, it pushes out of the pipe. So, when I first got my stove I was going through a couple of gallons of water a day. Water was dripping out of it almost all the time. I knew there had to be some better way. So, I got a 3/4" sprayer strainer from tractor supply. drilled holes in the bowl and mounted it upside down. The wire mesh screen inside acts as a condensing unit. To check the level, I just unscrew the bowl and look inside. If there is standing water in the bottom, all is well. I only add a small amount of makeup water every 3-4 days now. I attached it to the pipe on the stove with a piece of 3/4" heater hose and some worm gear clamps.

That is a very clever idea and a good way to solve an issue. 8) Well done
