Title: Muffler mod on 395xp
Post by: danbuendgen on September 04, 2016, 06:53:00 PM
Doing a muffler mod on my 395xp. Just wondering how to get rid of the limiters for the H and L on the carb? I did the mod on my 390xp years ago, just wondering if it's the same on the 395 as far as the limiters go? Thanks.

I believe you will find plastic limiter caps.. If I remember, I'll pop the top off the 2014 395xp at my work and have a look-see.

If they are the plastic caps, they are easily remedied with a razor blade (clamped in a small pair of vice-grips) and heated in a propane torch flame..  8)

Hey dan, just checking.  Did you figure out the carb limiters?
Reason I ask is because I just bought a 395xp and I'll be removing the carb limiters as soon as it arrives.  I'm not gonna do the muffler till the warranty expires.
