I know, I should leave the TF and Log forum more often but computer time seems less and less each day......

You don't know what you're missing.

What is the old addage?

"All work and no Play makes Jim, er, Jack a dull boy. :D

Nah!  You're not dull.  I'm just having fun.  You really would enjoy perusing the forum in your free time.   If you don't have any free time, then it's high time you created some.   Life is too short to spend it with your nose on the grind stone all of the time.

'Course it's dangerous out here.  You might get kidded a bunch.  :D :D

WB, you have to just set your mind to do it more often, like you did for the trip to the roast.

I've got lots of suggestions since becoming an expert at doing nothing.
First, turn off your cell phone.
Step #1:   get a small boy
Step #2:   dig worms
Step #3:   cut a cane pole and affix a line and hook
Step #4:   Take boy, worms and cane pole to a pond

:P 8)

beenthere's list
QuoteHow about we discuss them in that order

1.   Ya think we can lay off the Furby for a while
2.   We have a new Chet joke to tell.
3.   We have probly the most funniest ever direction story to tell.
4.   Jeff's Kevin has a new handle.
5.   And we don't need any pics of the ceiling tiles!

Or fire away so's we all know what is within each one. Pick a number.

Here is the beginning of the answer to number 4.  ;D
Ya'll may know where to look for the other photo if you happen to know the little Story about Kevin and Jeff...

Jeff

Last Sunday Morning, PPRM (Post Pig Roast Morning) Tom got up and made a pig pot of grits. The following is a record of the event.

Tom explains to the Yooper/Quebec twins that they are about to partake in truly professionally prepared grits

Eager anticipation!

Marcel says its even better then Moose Tripe!

The word gets around and a line begins to form as the Yooper/Quebec twins get giddy in the background from the excitement of the event.

Woodbowl just grins...

Whats this? SECONDS? Yes indeedy.

Tom tries to gather enough grits from the bottom of the pan to send to the smithsonian.

Our southern faction, after the unexpected rush on grits, sit and muse about their northern grits  conquest.

Marcel was surprised that getoverit was a much tinier person then he had envisioned. He wanted to take him home and keep him on a perch but I said, no Marcel, you can't do that.  He was disappointed until I said he could take anyone he wanted from Ohio. ;D

On another note, cool hat Marcel!!

Say when

Jeff

The Forestry Forum Pig Roasts are family events and its great to see all the kids having fun and making friends just as we do here on the Forum. The day would not be the same without them and Tammy and Stacy and I want to thank each and everyone of them for coming and helping make the day complete. We have a few photos of the kids, but they were so busy most of the day it was hard to catch them sitting still. :D   We had a few planned activities, but mostly, they just made their own fun and many were asking about how soon it would be before they could come back to meet up with their forestry forum friends.

The only trouble spot I saw was with these three. They never did decide who was going to pull, who was going to push and who was going to get to ride.

Here's one of my kids. :)

Jeff

Just a random photo here. I wish I would have had the camera in video mode to record the sound, but since I was there, I have a pretty fair recollection on what was being said.

In the top part of the picture we have Kevin_H and Hawby.  Pretty sure Kevin was saying: "No, see, mine is much worse then yours"

The two below are Cedarman and Pigman. As near as I remember, and this is pretty close, I heard, and read this in double time:

Your Cedarman? I'm Bob. Bob the pigman, yep, pigman Bob. I hear your the king of cedar, well I don't know nothing about that. Have you met my wife? She's right over there near the pig mobile in the black pointed hat listening to Christmas music. She's Gloria, Mrs pigman. She dont know anything about cedar either, hey did you hear about my new refrigerator, well new to the pigmans, it has a cord right out the back where you can tie it up to keep it from running off the porch. I came clear up from Kentucky did you know that, yep clear up from kentucky in that there pigmobile listening to chestnuts roasting over an open fire followed by jinglebell rock then Santa Claus is co....
