Transline (herbicide) and seedlings

Does anyone have experience with applying Transline around freshly planted seedlings?

Reading the label it says it should work fine, although some temporary curling of the needles may happen.

Talking with the weed control district, they are hesitant to suggest any herbicide application on freshly planted seedlings until the trees are established.

I have weeds near the trees that I would like to take care of, but am thinking of waiting until next spring so the seedlings are a year old.

Wondering if anyone else has experience?
