Title: Mods for Peterson ATS
Post by: yarnammurt on December 18, 2014, 10:12:15 PM
Is there any way to put a winch on this mill? Or would I need to buy the WPS, and can I use my carriage if I do that. Can I put the Single point sizing on the ATS? I am a one man operation and looking for a way to speed things up.

A winch for the up and down I'm guessing?
If so, you would need two or find a way to tie the
carriage rails together.

As I recall Maple flats moved from an ATS to a WPS

Yarnammurt,

I use my Lucas on my own all the time, I speed things up by 'auto -tailing'... set you rails on a bit of an angle towards the exit end of your log, once you've cut your board, set the blade up for the next cut and tail off your board...then the powerhead runs back through the verical cut on its own.this way the sawis stillcutting whileyou carry out your board.
