LT35 vs 40 question

Talked to woodmizer today about the LT35 and they said it takes a 158" band, same as the LT40.  So if that is the case why is it not rated for a 36" log like an LT40?

The LT35 head design is basically that of the LT15.  It uses a single mast instead of two post on the LT40. Maybe the head does not raise as high or guides open up as far.  My best guess.

Thanks, upon looking at pictures of the heads side by side I see the difference you are talking about. 

I was just wondering about keeping some of the bands from my norwood which is what prompted me to ask them (WM) the question about the band length, and I was suprised to learn that they were the same length.  The LT40 head looks larger and I anticipated it using a longer band. ... Anways thanks.
