NWwoodsman

Hi all,

I'm new here and wanted to say HI. I from the Olympic Pennisula on the Hoh River. I have a 1966 Mobil Dimension sawmill with upgraded, rack and pinion, electric start and 6 foot stands. It's been in the family since new and was used by my father on our family homestead. I've grown up with it and started milling when I was 12. I still can remember trying to start it with the rope pull. I started custom cutting about 5 years ago and have taken the mill to the Flathead valley in Montana, and will be taking it to North Dokato this spring. My support equipment is a 1966 Ford 4500 backhoe with 5000lbs of lift and 8000lbs of pull. I do all my own logging with it, and can pull whole trees out of the woods with it. Largest log I've cut on my mill was a 5 foot dia. by 30 foot Alaskan cedar log, I'll post some pics if I can.
Anyway hi all,
Jason

Welcome to the forum, another left coaster.

Mobil Dimensions too, hold old is your mill?

We always enjoy pics, not too hard to insert pictures in thread once you setup your gallery, there is a button that will insert it for you right from the gallery page (you end up with two windows up at the same time).
