Well boys i bought the 230 forwarder but it just didnt work out. I harvest mostly firewood full tree and was using a small skidder. When I started using the forwarder i was going from tree to tree, picking one up here and two there, my cutting style and wood was making for a none productive operation. The property iam cutting is mostly mixed wood and is unevened stage. For a one man operation it was not feasible to operate a forwarder with everything considered.

I was able to get a TJ 380B and it is working out fine, it lets me put alot more wood on the landing in a run of a day. Iam still getting used to a larger skidder it is harder getting on and off to set the chokers but she pulls alot more than my old machine and there isnt anything on the property that it cant handle.
