What % does pine shrink? Like on a 12 wide board what would it shrink to? After kiln drying.

About 7.5% or close to 3/4" on a flatsawn loblolly pine board.

SYP shrinks about 7.4% going from green to 0% MC for flatsawn.  Most 12" wide SYP would be dried to around 15% to 12% MC in a kiln, so the shrinkage would be about half, or 3.7%, with many pieces being less.  So, expect about 0.4" of shrinkage max. In width.
