I've got a few pallets of 2" cedar cookies that I cut a month ago. I've sold lots of cedar in the past and never kiln dried them.
Wondering if I put a pallet in kiln along with my next load would they might sell better $$$. Not sure best way to check MC on them. Any one done cedar cookies?

Cookies that I have put in the kiln split badly.

Do not recall trying it with cedar.  Will be interesting to see how they turn out.

mine dry outdoors and or inside the shop.  some split to the center with a half inch gap, and some do not split but tiny bits in the sap wood.  I think a partially dry loge helps in them not splitting.  the thickness vs the diameter can make a difference, but I have no formula, just trial and error.

Might try some in my next load in kiln when I put in 8 ft lengths, my kiln is made for 12 ft some I can put a pallet on one end. I've air dried several cedar cookies in the past with very little splitting.
