Got it set up Saturday. Next step is to learn to proficient with it. Need to mill 2 X 4's and boards for my barn. Incidentally, the mill is level, the storage container is not... :)

Nice mill, you'll do great with it.  If it was me, I'd probably move it further from away from the container because the sawdust is going to pile up pretty fast, and the best way to remove it is with that nice tractor you have.
YellowHammerisms:

Take steps to save steps.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

Kiln drying wood: When the cookies are burned, they're burned, and you can't fix them.

Sawing is fun for the first couple million boards.

Be smarter than the sawdust

Thanks Yellowhammer, that's a very good idea, but the next move will be to under the shed roof of the barn I hope to get built with lumber milled on the mill. :) In the meantime, I will (hopefully) remain diligent about cleaning the area, and the mill after each session with my back pack leaf blower....

I am enjoying my mill, learning more every time I use it. I do wish it came with a Honda motor though. The Kohler is a loud rattle trap. The bolts that attach the heat shield and cage that go around the muffler backed out, and four of the eight disappeared in the gravel. I cut the cage off and used the remaining bolts to properly secure the heat shield. I mentioned it to the dealer, and they contacted Woodmizer for me. Woodmizer sent me new bolts with lock washers. Thanks!

Hi there, I'm looking to buy a mill sometime in 2015. My objective is to build a barn. I would like to think that I will keep the mill after the project is complete. I own a 45 H.P. Kubota tractor with forks. My thought right now is to buy a Woodmizer LT15. I would like to know your thoughts first of if that is a good choice, and what power option I should choose. I know a local fellow who has a LT15 and is very satisfied with it. He said on occasion more power would be nice, but for the most part the 18 H.P. Kohler is fine. I found it to be very loud. Is the 10 H.P. electric comparable to the 18 H.P. Kohler performance wise?
Is it possible to put a Honda on it? Thanks very much.

Well I ended up buying the LT 15 in April 2016, it's now sold and the project is reaching completion.... :)

Thanks, its 36 X 72 with 10 foot high walls and 8 pitch attic storage trusses. This gives me a 16' wide storage upstairs. 5/8" sheetrock goes on the ceiling tomorrow, blown in insulation Saturday. Finally getting close to the finish line. :)

Did you cut it all out with the mill, or use some store bought lumber or trusses?

I bought the trusses, but milled the studs, purlins, girts, boards, and strapping.
