I successfully remove the worm gear and would like to know how to press it back on?  I did not purchase Echo's specialty tool for removal.  I built my own to remove it.

Guessing oil pump drive?

I'm not sure of Echo's prescribed method but if the crank shaft is cold and the gear is very warm it may fall right on.

Thanks for the response.  If I can find some kind of hardware that is threaded on the inside and on the outside.  I can thread it on to the shaft and then screw something that will clear the shaft around what is screwed on and push/press the worm gear down.

I'd try some ice around the crank and heating the worm gear first.  Steve
