Title: clearing guide bars and bow bars

Hi All:

I've run into a few of these at auctions ect and was wondering how good they are and what exactly are they designed for???

I was asked at work and we asked a LOT of people and no one ever has been able to answer me ... :( I didn't know for sure and wanted a better answer. :-[

I had always wondered what they were used for as well and the answer showed up last fall.
