New to the board here and just wanted to post something useful. We bought a new wood stove after propane  went through the roof and we love it. Thought I would share.

I got the Massey 1529 2 yrs ago for maple syruping replacing my 52 Ford 8n. It has a FEL and I purchased the Norwood Log hog and really like it.

Now I understand. I was thinking of the old tractors.
Nice job on getting your pictures in the gallery.
This is how you get them into a post.

I like to go to whatever post or start a new topic first to include a picture.Go to your gallery,it will open in a new window.Click onto your album, then click onto whatever picture you want,it will get bigger, than scroll down a little to find,Insert Image In Post, click onto that, click Yes and that is it. Some have to copy/paste the link to work.I like to hit the enter key at least once or twice to move the picture down away from what I am typing. The enter key really helps to leave some white space if posting more than one picture. Somewheres I think it says to add 10,000 to your user number or something like that to make a clickable icon to your gallery under your user name. Use the preview button to see how it looks and modify it if needed.

How many hp is that Massey?

So far all I have been burning is poplar (quaking aspen) as that is what I have dry. First time in my life I bought a moisture meter on amazon for 11.00. Works just fine and the wood ranges from 8 to 15%. I have a lot of paper birch I have been harvesting for syruping as in the last few yrs it has all been dying, after 40 yrs now I have more maple and oak.

I am now looking at one of these small bandsaw mills (my reason for joining this site) we have a Hudson dealer 50 miles from me and no others in the area. That alone is a good reason to lean that way I think. Looking at the Hudson Hfe 21, Woodland, and or the Timberly small one.

Want to saw some of this dying paper birch into lumber and add on to the sugar shack.
I guess now I am off topic here.

Thank for the infor on photo posting.
The massey is 29 HP. It is plenty for me and within my price point. Big step up from my wonderful old 8N. The loader is the best part!

They should also ban Harbor freight, that's the same garbage as northern toolhttps://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=position"> Note:Please read the Forestry Forum's postion on this company!! Glad to see that they warn people about these companies!

hazelnut

Lets see the last I looked Norwood which was my point was and is a sponsor of this site.

northern toolhttps://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=position"> Note:Please read the Forestry Forum's postion on this company is a Minnesota based company providing hundreds of jobs in this country. So you do not support American companies, only those you feel cut the mustard with you.

Maybe Ford, GM, Chrysler, MacDonalds, Kentucky fried, 3M, Con Agra, Hormel, and literally thousands of other American companies should not be supported as they also sell and manufacture in China. Like it or not we live in a world based economy. Pull back all American companies in the world and we would be no more. In the 50's and 60's Japan was considered the same a some folks look at China today.

How many times is Harbor Freight mentioned on this site and all they sell is Chinese.

Pretty narrow minded view point in my opinion.

You will probably block me out of this site for having a opinion, so be it.

You may want to inform yourself on the matter before taking that tone.
Where it is made isn't the issue here.
The company you're talking about was selling knock offs pirated from one of our sponsors Logrite.
If you want to support that company go ahead but don't take offense when the Forum's position is stated.
It also isn't your fault for not knowing what has happened in the past but please don't get so defensive if we try protecting an American company's property.  Surely you can understand that.

Hazelnut, please clink onto the link that reads, Note please read the Foresty Forum's postion on this company. Watch the video too. I think they even took the actual picture of the Logrite arch and used it on thier box.
