   I gots the hickory.  Last year we had no hickory for the pig.  Did not realize it did not go that far north.   But there will be plenty hickory this year as LBJ likes her pig smoked with the sweet wood.

And I will be saying this again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE  dont transport any type of firewood or log to the pig roast.  Trying to Transport wood  through Michigan is NOT a good idea at all with the current regulations on transporting firewood in Michigan due to the Emerald Ash Borer.

ARKANSAWYER and anyone else that is entertaining thoughts of bringing any kind of wood in firewood or log form, You could and most likely WILL find yourself facing big fines for simply transporting that hickory or what ever through an Emerald Ash Borer quarantine zone that you WILL have to travel through.  Such a situation woulf not be good for you or at all good for the Forestry Forum.

According to the MI quarantine, you cannot move logs of any kind if their final product will be firewood.  FYI.

On a more personal note, I just found out that I am being shipped out for 8 weeks training to Maryland on 8/2.  Guess I will be missing the roast, just like I missed SAWLEX.... :'(

I had typed out a reply to Jon saying that he will enjoy that place but would be disappointed if he's into cliff diving.  I got to thinking that Mark M.  was probably the only one that appreciated my er-uh-cliff diving,  so I didn'[t poke the post button.  Our family along with One-with -wood and wife and Paul H and his son Tom had a delightful breakfast together with Mark at that place.  I'm lonesome for him.
