For you wood freaks out there: read this latest article about "The Tree". Google search "The Legend of the Music Tree" Smithsonian Magazine. 
It's both a historical look back at where "The Tree" came from and more about how it's (Belizean Mahogany) been used to make instruments.
 
Mixed in with the google results will be a similar article called "Saving the Music Tree" which is about another wood (Brazilian Pernambuco) in another country but also interesting to wood people.

Cool wood for sure, great story behind that tree. That wood was meant for special instruments to be cherished.
