There used to be a ff member that had special fixture on his saw for sawing that kind of log.

No way that would make a good log for them, I mean how could they get wane on half the board like they do from a large tree like that? Haha  Needs to look like that but about 10'' diameter.

That is a nice looking feature log.  You don't need to mill it.  Maybe it's a center post in a round house?  Maybe it could be used in an entryway?  It's a beautiful and unique piece.  IF you did mill it. Maybe look at making oval slabs from it.  Let them dry, and then flatten them.
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

Brad is right.  That is an architectural log worth many times more than any lumber you could get out of it.  One of a kind like that is a homeowner's dream.  Treat that log lovingly.  Get some CEO  to have it as a centerpiece in their huge office foyer.
I am in the pink when sawing cedar.
