If you are a "fixing to" kind of guy, there is hope for you  :D.

It takes a couple of hours on a low boil to get them right.  You got to put some salt in the water with the peanuts.  After about an hour, check the taste, and you can tell if they need more salt.

Thankfully peanuts is one item that if you do over salt them, you can boil them in plain water and remove some of the salt.

I once talked to a young lady at a friends variety store after 9 at night. It was a warm summer night and she had on a long winterish coat, which was odd to say the least. I then realized she was in jammies and was hiding them under the coat so I teased her about them.  She took the teasing good naturedly and then said something like " y'all done teasing me.", to which I replied, " I was until you said Y'all." She wasn't from around here.
Life is too short or my list is too long, not sure which. Dec 2014

Y'all are right.  There is more than one type of Yankee.

Kind of like the genus Carya.  There are a number of species of hickories and pecan, but they are all a pain in the butt to saw  :D :D :D.

Raised in Ohio.
Lived for a while in Georgia.
Went back to Ohio for 25 years.
Now I am bout as fer south as I can go in Missouri.
