Jeff,

CoreSpace understands your need for uptime and continues to improve the
infrastructure and network, ultimately providing even better reliability.

We recently upgraded our Dallas Data Center Network with new redundant
Enterprise Class Cisco 7000 routers, additional security devices that will
provide additional network protection including DDoS & IPS protection and
will also block many unwanted malicious attacks.

One of our facility improvements is the migration of our managed server
customer base to the new power infrastructure and removing legacy
rack-mount UPS's.

This new power infrastructure featuring state-of-the-art GE UPS systems
will provide a higher level of availability for your servers, at no
additional cost.

The maintenance will require us to temporarily power down your servers
during the move, and is scheduled for 04-05-2014 at 11PM CDT through
04-06-2014 1AM CDT.

Please note, this notice relates to your Dedicated Servers only.  For
clients who have more than one account and/or more than one account type,
the power maintenance is only for a small portion of the Managed Dedicated
services only.

Interesting and cool.  I've never played with the Cisco 7000's.  Regarding your servers, if they were providing your services with VM's, they would've been able to vMotion us to different VM hosts in a different rack, with no service impact.  You must be paying for standalone hardware.  Either option has benefits.
