Earlier this past week, one of my co-workers was sharpening chains and cleaned a particularily dirty one by holding it against the wire wheel on the bench grinder. The wheel grabbed the chain and he nearly lost the top of his ring finger. Of course the chain was destroyed. I learned not to do that the same way many years ago but was saved by the welding gloves.
