I am trying to make a "root saw". Thisis for use when benching trails. I have an old MS 250 with three carbide chains, but I cannot find a hard nose bar for it. It has the smaller size Stihl mount, the one that the part number begins with 3005. I think this is quality to an Oregon A074 mount.  Does anybody know where I can get a hard nose bar, preferably 16".

I see at least one on ebay. As an alternative, you could run a sprocket nose til it breaks, then have a piece of metal spot welded into the tip, and use it as a hard nose. It's not something I've done, but it would be cheap to try.
