Post by: chep on July 27, 2021, 01:39:49 PM
1979 Ford F600 dump truck
Recently restored (not by me) very clean and frame and body are in great shape.
New starter, alternator. Fresh battery, tune up plugs/wires.
Runs great. Dumps a cord of wood.  Has a hitch/reciever
370 v8 motor
2 wheel drive
Gvrw 22,500 you should see the spring pack on the rear!
No fuel gauge. Tach is hooked up funny (backwards). Has a slow rear brake leak. Fuel pump is trying to drain batt, So I installed a shutoff on the battery.
Split rims, tires are ok but weather checked.
Needs wiper blades.

5000$ obo

I have read and understand the ff rules on selling

I have the 1976 F700 with the Jimmy Carter governor that lets me go up to 60 MPH downhill.   8)  nice truck for logging/firewood.  lots of parts via LMC and others.

I replaced the rear tail light today. all the lights work. hi/low left and right and brakes. the reverse light is not working currently.

It has had the bed chopped down from a longer one at some point in its life.

That said it has a tighter turning radius then any modern ton truck and can sneak around pretty well. and would easily fit on most trailers.Hint hemlockking.... its a great old truck and gets lots of comments., but 2wd has def helped me want to be rid of it. i need 4wd for living on these hillsides

I have pulled a lot of trees and made a lot of trips to the dump, and or picked up sand.  even my wife says the old dump truck has earned its keep.  tax and tags about 70 bucks a year.

I too wish it was closer.  Always paying to have stone hauled in-I could go get myself.  Crushed rock out of a quarry is cheap, trucking surcharges are not.

Doc, I can relate;  My next "ask" involves just such a piece of equipment, with similar initial resistance expected.
