Smoked a 15 pound turkey today on the 26 inch Weber. One of those 50 cents a pound Thanksgiving specials that we put in the freezer. Used crabapple for a nice light smoke and cooked the potatoes and stuffing on the grill with it. Weber grills are the best.


 

 

 
Hudson HFE-21 on a custom trailer, Deere 4100, Kubota BX 2360, Echo CS590 & CS310, home built wood splitter, home built log arch, a logrite cant hook and a bread machine. And a Kubota Sidekick with a Defective Subaru motor.

Looks good. That must of taken a few hours.

It was good and only took about 6 hours. There is enough moisture pumped into  the frozen birds that we don't brine them and cook at a little higher temp. Crabapple leaves an excellent lighter smoke flavor.  Only bad part is the carcass isn't good for a pot of soup with the smoke flavor.

Nice color on the bird!  I am sure it was delicious.
