Question about Walnut

I suspect it would be sour sap (fermented), laying in a log for an unknown period of time before sawing. So maybe your thinking metalspinner is not far off. ;D ;)

I know walnut juice is poisonous to alot of animals - not sure about the sap though. 

The juice itself is VERY bitter though if you've ever been picking them up and get it in your mouth somehow..   :D
