Selling my LT40HD Wood-Mizer (Price Reduced)
« on: December 01, 2021, 06:42:30 PM »
I have read, understand and agree to the terms of selling on the forestry forum.

1995 Hydraulic Wood-Mizer LT40HDG24-25
There have been a lot of upgrades added to this machine, so I'm asking $22,000.00 $21,000.00 for it!
3,240 hours, worked mostly mobile.
Replaced 24 hp Onan with 25 hp Kohler at 2,200 hours.
All hydraulics work with no issues, got one issue with the debarker, it swings out but not in!  I've reversed the wires on the switch and it works fine when switch back and forth, so the swing motor works fine, it's just got to be one of the wires going to the motor is pinched and I just never got around to tracing it!
Upgrades include: New style sawhead lift motor and gear assembly, new up/dn sawhead lift chain, tach/hour meter, 200 amp hyd solenoid, electric brakes, new tires last year, solenoid shut-off valve in the lube system, new chain and sprocket on blade guide motor, new feed chain, sprocket, shaft and bearings, new track rollers, new gas tank and a new spare tank!
Included:  4-foot Log Rite cant hook, old 4-foot cant hook, old 2-foot mill special cant hook, 6 used blades, 3 new blades (I think), 15-pack of blades, still sealed.  All blades are 10 degree!

I have read, understand and agree to the terms of selling on the forestry forum.

After manually turning some big logs this weekend on my LT15, this would be a great Christmas present.

Wonder what my Mrs. Claus will say, maybe I should whisper hydraulics over and over very softly while she is sleeping tonight  :)

Ray; I am selling because I'm getting out of sawing.

The hydraulics is a real back-saver and time saver, and it cuts the off-bearers job way down!

Thanks twobears.

I've had a few bites on it, and a few have been here to look it over, but it's still here and a couple of them have got to check at home.

Considering the time it takes to get a mill once it's ordered, I'm sure this one will go by the time Spring is breaking, but we'll see!

Absolutely Chuck.  The market may be 'soft' right at the moment because of the holidays and cold weather, but as you mentioned, both the interest and the weather will warm up.

I could have sold yours a couple of weeks ago but the buyer had already ordered a Norwood.  No problem with that but after he adds the hydraulic features, etc. he will spend well over your amount, plus yours is ready to saw.

Price Change:

The asking price is now $21,000.00 for the mill, blades, etc.

Had a few PM's & emails interested, but nothing firm!

Chuck I told a local guy that was complaining about WM wait times about your mill but apparently he hasn't bought it?? Wish I had some cash. Will keep suggesting it to folks though.

Thanks for the support MudFarmer!

I keep getting a few nibbles but nothing serious yet.

I'm pretty sure it'll go!

Yes, it will go but it's the wrong time of the year for three fourths of the country.  :snowball:

I have owned 3 mills. All of them I bought this time of year late Jan=Feb. A good time to buy, not the best time to sell.

Have you tried FB market place? I saw one on there for 35k and I would not trade yours for it. Prices all over. If not in a hurry you will be better off. Good Luck.
