Hello to all:
We have about 600 bf of walnut along with some birch and ash that has reached 13-15%MC here in central Md.  We are thinking of moving
most of the wood from the stickered stack into a run-in shed (the open side is protected from prevailing winds).  Can we simply stack the
boards on top of each other without stickers. We are taking in some of the walnut for further drying but the rest will remain for an extended
period in the shed.  The walnut is a mix of 10/4, 8/4, and 6/4 by 14-18 in. wide, and 8-9 feet long, and very little sapwood.  This is our
first effort to dry wood all of which is from our property. Thanks for any advice. Regards,  Sandy

I would keep it on stickers.  Humidity changes, the wind blows odd, some snow drifts, etc and you have wood that can't evenly dry, and you don't want to wreck that walnut.
