What makes the 020T so Hot? I want to know what Stihl is doing to make these things keep up with an 044 (anything it's bar will fit on) and in price. The hardest part for me to try and wrap my brain around is that these are a horizontal cylinder configuration. What's done differantly in these and can the techniques be applied to say an 056. Some one with screws loose wants to know.   ;)

I don't have a clue ;D My dad has used them for 25 years & they are a sweet little saw. He runs 1/4" pitch chain, 14" bar & has the tail handle versions.

I think that the 020T has all the right stuff. By that I mean it has the right bore-to-stroke relationship, the port timing/sizes are probably darn near perfect and the saw has pretty high compression. Put all that together and that is the package that you have.......a real ball$y saw!!! 8)
