Mimosa?

located in a mid Missouri river bottom. Only one I've seen down there. 
Has leaves like a mimosa, I've never seen one this big before and as straight. 
It has seed pods about 4-5" long. 
The bottom pic is that tree, disregard all the background foliage ;)

I see a Honey Locust and they don't all have thorns.

Yes, honeylocust also has some bi-pinnate compound leaves like mimosa does.  Also honeylocust is unusual because it has some pinnate compound leaves as well, both can be on the same tree.

Yeah, neither is good. I've never dealt with honey locust but I have black
Locust. Worst things ever!
