I POSTED THE OTHER DAY THAT I WAS LOOKING FOR A GOOD ECONOMICAL SKIDDER. JD, TIMBERJACK, FRANKLIN, OR CLARK. I FOUND A 1995 FRANKLIN 170 THAT I REALLY LIKE. DOES ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE OR CAN PUT ME IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE ABOUT NEW PARTS FOR FRANKLIN? THANKS!

New Franklin parts, NOS, are getting more rare, but Forestry Construction in Lynchburg, VA has a good supply.  Rumor is the old factory building in Franklin is pretty stocked with parts and even a couple complete machines that someday will see the light of day.

Any parts in particular you are concerned about?  I am very happy with my 170, its a '92 so pretty similar.

I have had a 170 Franklin and parts have not been an issue, yet.  These machines are owner friendly, because you can go to your local parts store and buy the same parts without the 'name' and save a lot of money simply because a ot of the parts are used by many different machines.  Good luck with it and may it produce many turns for you !
