Hello,

It's been long awaiting, but we are planning on raising our house on Wednesday, June 18th.  I live about 35 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, PA or 10 miles east of Wheeling, WV.  If you are in the area and interested in watching this event, drop me a personal message and I'll send directions.

House is up.  We've been busy working around here.  I have 100's of photos.  I'll have to sift through them and get them posted.

Here's one I was able to shrink to fit.

More to come when the dust settles a bit.

That looks great. Sorry I missed the raising.

Red oak.  We cut and milled 80% off of our farm.  I had to purchase everything over 22 feet.  I didn't have the time to cut the frame myself, so I had an Amish fellow do the work.  I'm very pleased with his craftsmanship.  I have the maple beams cut for the entryway (porch).  I still need to get those cut the M&T's.  So, I'll have some of my own sweat equity.
