Boy......that's a can of worms! ;D

Do you have a plan in mind?

More than 1 floor?

Loft?

Snow load?

Are you looking to have an open span or use support posts?

Have you looked at some sample styles of buildings to get an idea of the building design and layout?

More info. might help the people here make realistic suggestions! ;D

just one floor and wide open.i want the roof to be steep on one side and the peak off set.. I believe code here is 90 pounds per sqft snowload..I live on the edge of the lake effect snow and I could have 4//5 feet of snow on the roof.
I need to build a new sugarhouse and I,am thinking timberframe because I love old barns and I think it would fit want I need.i have my own sawmill and can cut up to 20 feet (plus) long.i do have a plan draw up but it was for stick build.i,ll dig them out and let you know how I want the roof.
