Yesterday I have listened and followed some advice from Logosol. Which they say in order to rip logs just sharpen the chain at 10 degrees, so I have did that  and believe  me I have got good result even I have used this chain a lot almost exhausted for being chewing  into different type of logs. I think if I am not mistaken I run this chain through at least I should say 200 feet and still running good when it sharpened at 10 degrees. So my advice to you woodworkers if you want to cut well just sharpen the chain at 10 degrees try it will not harm.

By the way the chain is Stihl 3/8 x 050

Alysayyad, have you tried the stihl pmx ripping chain? It has the correct angle and narrow kerf too.  More boards and less sawdust ;D
