And it has begun!!!
I got the first one and thought, "that was easy", I should have known that wasn't the end.
Wow, that was very fun. Great way to highlight the wonderful sponsors as well. Thank you Jeff!

I am new here and a bit of a dolt. I don't understand the instructions about the first 24 blank letters. What is a blank letter and how do you count them, across or down? I think I have almost all of the sponsors located, but confused as to the next step. The puzzle was fun though.
Tom
never mind, I got it. Very Cool! But how do you know who was first second or third? Very cool though.
That was a real W I D E H E A D !!! :o Thanks for a good contest Jeff. :)
Thank You Kevin and Tammy for again sponsoring this Christmas Contest.
Thank You to the entire Sponsor Family for your continued support of the Forestry Forum.
Hey!!!!! There's another one!!! Why did I think I was done?
Good thing I am at work and not too busy!!! :snowball:
Nice. Thanks Jeff and thanks to the sponsors.
I was not aware of the FF sponsor: QTXJRSSUUYX, but now I know who they are, and I see they have some really nice products.
Good luck everyone!
I have a headache
Fun contest. Have not done that for years, but always like it when I did.
I juat ran out of time, have too many family obligations. Will finish it off in the morig, but I am sure not in the running. Still can;t figure out how you will know who 'won', but its fun anyway. I gotta get some sleep first, this is a lot of work. I am quite sure it was even more work to create. Kudos's.
Old Greenhorn, last year Jeff had a wheel with a pointer. He did a video on it. The wheel spun and stopped on a name. All names that solved the contest was on the wheel.
Here it is, http://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?topic=98967.0 (http://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?topic=98967.0)
That was a fun contest!
Thanks to the contest sponsors, Logrite, Blue Creeper & RiteLeg, and Tammy & Kevin!
Well done!
I figured the secret message but I guess I'm too dumb to know what to do with it. >:(
Just add the secret message to the url address provided below the contest display, then click ENTER.
On the address, well on my computer, most of the address is there. I just clicked onto it,back spaced a little added action= and the secret code and off I went. Did not get too far. :D
I am just stumped on the last 4 letters of the third puzzle, not making sense. ARRGH! nice puzzle work.

Me either. Kinda like going in circles.
Just type the code in, including the last 4 required letters and you'll get it! ;)
Unless they used extra letters or forgot letters when they were solving the puzzle. The answer should make sense or it is probably wrong.

It makes sense, but especially after you click on it. I think it's supposed to get a little more difficult at each step.
Last year's puzzle was more challenging, not that that's a good thing. This year's goes a lot faster. But it does has a bit of the devious Jeff in it.
Yeah, I got it. Actually had it hours ago but must have typed it wrong. Got it finished now. Thanks again for a fun contest.
I do not know if I got it right but first try it came back and told me the code was 20 letters I pared it down and sent it on its way . nothing. not even a you made it or an attaboy. or a you dummy that's wrong
If it doesn't bring you to a logical step, or the end, it is not yet correct. Keep trying. I got a little frustrating for me too. Just keep at it and re-check your typing over and over. The instructions are accurate and if you get it right, you will move on. It is very clear when you wind up at the right place.
I have no idea what I was doing wrong on the first step but finally got it right. It was fun. Thanks Jeff, Tammy, and the folks at Logrite. :new_year:
I'm fairly confident none of yous will call me a simpleton so I'll take a chance here. First time I've ever tried a contest but decided this one just might be simple enough for me.
1) i can only find 22 sponsors
2) 1 sponsor cannot will not be found
What simple things am i doing wrong?
You may be looking for the wrong sponsor. Because im a little bit evil, i left one out on purpose so you wouldnt know which one.. There are still 23 in the puzzle. Not sure how many you must find to reveal the secret message, or if i do, im not telling.
FINALLY got it after I spelled the URL correctly....I need to hire you next year when it is my turn to run the family Christmas party. Too much fun!
Jeff and Tammy..
Great fun, how you are so devious with your games amazes me.
Thank you to all of the Forestryforum sponsors! - with big shout out to Independent Sawmill & Woodlot!!
Cheers!
JJ
I finished last night, no printer so I had to figure a way to put the puzzle in a drawing program so I could circle the words as I found them.
Thanks and Merry Christmas to the Contest Sponsors
Tammy and Kevin Bantle of Logrite Tools, Bluecreeper and Riteleg!

I MADE IT!!!!

I was going to go to bed at midnight last night, but then I saw this contest. So much for sleep! The first puzzle was tricky because there isn't a clear list of the names you're looking for like in subsequent puzzles. I was using the sponsors on the left side of the page, but one of those was not used, a couple had truncated names, and 4 had to be found elsewhere, or as in my case, I found them in the puzzle unintentionally. What also threw in was in the second puzzle, the word Michigan was thrown in along with another word that wasn't used.
I have to go write my theme now- "What I want for Christmas". Merry Christmas to ALL!!!
So if you are not interested in the sexy single Danielle or Alissa, I am willing to substitute my famous brownie recipe for second prize.
Have you gone mad? You cant be giving that up! Plus then, you would have to spill the beans on the original recipe name.
Still a complete mystery to me why there was no inquiries about the secod prize of Sexy Singles. I guess this crowd is all over the hill now.

Well, my daughter's name is Danielle, so that would be a little creepy. But Alissa might be nice ;)
Brenda all ready has a good brownie recipe.
But those sexy singles sound interesting. Just don't tell Brenda!!! :D
And the 2nd place winner gets 4 of those babies!
I have seen the prototype. They are Dang sexy ;D.
I can see where four would be an advantage, even for an old man.
Recipe for Brownies? Step 1) dump Brownie mix in a bowl. Add oil, eggs and water. Bake?
DanG Brad_bb! You gave away my secret! :D
Great fun! Thanks to Kevin and Tammy from Logrite for sponsoring the contest. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Done...good lunch time fun for me while at work.
Still time to get entered!
Time is running out! Jeff, I think I count only 18 or so that have made it to the end. Seems like the lowest qualifying ever...
How can you count the entries? Oh, you mean those that have come back here and said they entered? Most have not done that.

Oh, that' too bad. :-\ So you have lots of entries - good! Well, I suppose - my odds are lower then I thought! ;)
Much. :)
Oh no. That means that the odds of me winning are reduced? Makes me twitch a whack.

I only found three. Did I not grasp something?
You could grasp that someone was throwing out a red herring ;D.

hmmm, the quote function isn't working quite right for me.

Was it pickled or raw?

Thought I was going to have issues! The only issue I was having is I was not reading the directions close enough!
Thank you very much Logrite, Logrite and Blue Creeper (Tammy and Kevin) for sponsoring this Christmas fun!
Thanks Jeff and Tammy for a fun contest!
Merry Christmas all!
One day,(minus a little) ;D

For us lazy ones and dumb ones is the answer going to be shown? Way back when I was in grade school, the teachers showed the answer key at the end. Sometime I could then get it.

Straincm, I won a Bluecreeper package 2 or 3 years ago. Fantastic stuff - you will like it and will discover new ways to use it all the time. I was hoping to win again since I'm getting low... ;)
Congratulations to the winners, and Merry Christmas to all!
Wow. What a nice surprise. I was happy just completing the puzzle, but this is a great bonus!
Thanks to all the sponsors and to Jeff and Tammy. Merry Christmas! Indeed.

It wasn't a question, but a journey. There was not an answer, but a destination.
I enjoyed the puzzles.
Thanks again to Jeff and the spo sponsors
I can't believe I won the 30" mill special canthook! I read the winners several times and got my wife to read it also, to make sure I actually won! Having a manual mill I use my canthooks a lot. I have been needing one this size for awhile. Thanks to all the sponsors, Jeff and Tammy for putting this on. Merry Christmas to all Forestry Forum members!
Wow!!!
I never win anything. What a Merry Christmas gift. I am hard to buy for. I will share and enjoy the prize with my family. I did the puzzles at work and all the nurses have been asking if I won. They will also be thrilled. Thanks to everyone and sorry if you did not win this year. Jeff, next year I am willing to donate a gift as well, to give back a little. I have been on other forums, but this one has a little fun while being a great resource. Merry Christmas all.
Thanks Ray at thecfarm! I am sure the jam will be great. Thanks for adding to everyones fun.
Congratulations to all entrants, and especially to all the winners!
Thanks to all the sponsors!
Thank you Jeff!
Merry Christmas indeed! 8)
Thanks to everyone who played!
Congrats to the winners! Keep watch for the UPS truck as your prizes are on their way.
Kevin and I packed them ourselves as our shipping department is closed this week.
Tammy
Just got a notification from UPS that my package will be delivered tomorrow.
I am anxious for you to post pictures of those "Sexy Legs". ;)
The sexy singles came in today as promised by UPS. They look great. They are much beefier than I realized from the picture on the Riteleg site. They are really nice and they should hold up to a lot of normal (or even abnormal) use. The flanges are much bigger and thicker than expected. Now I have to find a suitable use for them. That'll be a good way to occupy one of the many rainy days we seem to be so fond of this year.
They were packed and taped very well. Thanks to the executive packing crew at Logrite for getting these out so fast.
--- Pictures tomorrow ---
Those packers pack well.
Picture, as promised.
I've never used any Riteleg products before, so I suppose these are similar to the other leg products in quality. They really are nicely done. Four of these would probably support around 3,412 lbs from the look of 'em. Very impressive. Plus they included a package of the Yellowhammer-endorsed lag screws they sell for attachment. That was a nice surprise.
I'm probably going to work up something I have on hand to use with these for now. Unfortunately I don't have anything that's oddly shaped that really requires this type of leg, but I'll keep an eye out for something big and strange and move them over when the time comes.
Thanks again for the nice prize and a fun contest!
Cool. Are those holes in the bottom threaded so you can screw in some nylon floor glides? If not, you might consider threading them before you install.
I think 3 legs is better than 4 if possible on an odd shape. They will always sit flat.
@doc henderson (http://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=profile;u=41041) ,the check is in the mail. :D I mailed it out today!!
Maybe next year I will do better. ;D
I and about 29 others are looking forward to that jelly and jam. It is so fun to win something. I will look for it. do not want it stolen off my porch! Thanks again
@doc henderson (http://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=profile;u=41041) ,I did forget to tell you,it's coming by USPS,the post office.
29 others!! You are a sharing man.
I will send some pics
busy day at work yesterday, got home about 3 am. There was my box of Christmas winnings!!! All the jars made it intact and I brought butter and kings Hawaiian rolls to try it out at work today. Waiting to get most of our peeps here and will send a pic. Thanks again cfarm for all the hard work and making my day, and many at work who were rooting for me!
Enjoying the choke cherry jelly at work with my friends. Have not opened the strawberry rhubarb yet as my wife says that is hers. Tried to spice up the pic for the axe women. Sorry guys, the girls here let their hair down a bit in the winter (leg hair) so they refused to hike their scrubs. It is fun and tasty to win. you raised the spirits of all of us who care for the children of our state at the Wesley Children's Hospital pediatric emergency department. Thanks CFarm. Thanks Jeff and FF for hosting the contest.

Thanks for the awesome pics Doc!
Brenda just came in to see this post. She said you are all welcome.
I have been working most everyday since Dec. 26th. My wife and I finally got to try the strawberry rhubarb jam. She loved it and so did I. It is snowing here and we are lounging so my wife refused to be photographed . So here is a pic of our breakfast today incl. Jam from the c farm and the state of Maine. Thanks again to all. Thanks again Ray and Brenda, Jeff and Tammy.

I am glad to see the lack of grits!!!! I shuddered at the thought of The C Farm jam and jelly being next to some grits.
Funny Jeff. I ran to Walmart to pick up a medication, get polyurethane, and get jello per my wife's instructions. In that same isle, I saw normal hot breakfast stuff like oatmeal ect., did not see grits. But, sadly, I spent time looking!!~! 2 minutes of my life, I can never get back lol
NOTE FROM JEFF IT"S RAY. :)
Thanks for sharing Doc! Glad to see you guys having fun and doing good work!
