Title: Quartersawn questions
Post by: trees on February 01, 2003, 05:34:27 AM
I am thinking of haveing some ash, oak and cherry sawn for use in a few years. Will then be made into flooring, shelving and ? when I remodel a house. Thinking of having it quater sawn because I like the look and it may? dry on stickers more stable.
Wodering if this is true and if the yield from the log is less when sawing this way. It will all be sawn 4 or 5 quarter.
Any thing else I should know or consider? Thanks, Trees.
